Brightwater Construction is proud to be a NAHB Certified Green Building Professional. Offered by the National Association of Home Builders' University of Housing, the Certified Green Professional designation is another way building professionals become educated in, and involved with green building. The designation requires 24 hours of NAHB-approved training, and additional continuing education every two years. Subjects covered in training discuss how green homes provide buyers with lower energy costs and higher value, and include strategies for incorporating green-building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction.
Through the National Green Building Program, the National Association of Home Builders is helping its members move the practice of green building into the mainstream. Energy effciency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are increasingly incorporated into the everyday process of home building.
